No sign-in, profile, or developer-operated cloud account is required.
Your practices, predictions, reflections, values, and name are not sent to us.
Version 4.0 contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDK.
A PDF leaves the app only after you preview it and choose where to send it.
This Privacy Policy describes how JourneyOn: Exposure Journal, formerly Exposure Journal, handles information. JourneyOn is an iOS app developed by Dustin Floer.
In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “the developer” refer to the developer of JourneyOn. “You” refers to the person using the app.
You may choose to enter a first name or nickname, values and motivations, saved steps, practice details, predictions, observations, reflections, ratings, reminder preferences, and other journal content.
This information is stored locally by the app. It is not transmitted to or accessible by the developer.
We do not collect personal information or journal content. JourneyOn 4.0 does not collect names, contact information, health information, journal entries, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, advertising data, or tracking data.
JourneyOn 4.0 does not include a third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK.
Your journal and preferences are stored on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage systems. We do not operate a server that receives or stores this content.
If you enable reminders, JourneyOn asks iOS for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Notification wording is generic by default. JourneyOn does not use a server to send push notifications.
Widgets receive a limited on-device snapshot through an Apple App Group. Practice titles, predictions, notes, reflections, learnings, and your name are not included. You may separately choose to show a primary value name.
If you enable App Lock, authentication is handled by Apple’s Local Authentication system using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. JourneyOn receives only whether authentication succeeded; it does not receive or store biometric data.
JourneyOn can create a temporary PDF on your device using the date range and content categories you select. You preview the PDF before sharing. Once you choose another app, service, or recipient from Apple’s share sheet, their privacy practices apply. Canceling the export removes the temporary PDF.
JourneyOn 4.0 does not provide iCloud sync and does not move your journal between devices.
Apple may include app data in an iPhone backup depending on your device and iCloud Backup settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple. The JourneyOn developer cannot access or retrieve them.
JourneyOn includes optional links to the App Store, Buy Me a Coffee, professional directories, crisis resources, and organizations that publish information about ACT, CBT, and exposure-based approaches. Opening one of these links leaves JourneyOn. The destination’s privacy policy and terms then apply.
Apple processes App Store downloads, reviews, and related store activity under Apple’s own policies. We do not receive your journal content through the App Store.
Because we do not collect your personal information or journal content, we do not sell, rent, share, or use it for advertising or marketing.
Deleting JourneyOn removes its local app container from the device. We cannot restore data for you because we do not possess a copy.
JourneyOn relies on iOS and your device security. You can use a device passcode and enable JourneyOn’s optional App Lock for added protection. No method of storage is risk-free, so avoid exporting sensitive content to people or services you do not trust.
JourneyOn is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children or other users because the app does not collect user information. Please follow the age rating shown on the App Store.
JourneyOn is a self-guided reflection and educational tool informed by exposure-based practice, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and inhibitory learning. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, medical advice, crisis monitoring, or emergency support and is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
We may update this policy when JourneyOn’s features or privacy practices change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
